I'm Coach Carlos Hattix.  I have 25 years of professional recruiting experience.   I cut my teeth at the height of the "Dot-Com Bubble" in early 2000 and from there I learned, earned, failed, elevated, educated and survived through the bumps, bonuses, sign-ons, and severances all the way to the "Great Tech Reset (2022 to 2024)".

Throughout my career, I’ve coached jobseekers from early-in-career to executives. I began recruiting tech professionals at global staffing agencies (K-force, Adecco) before transitioning into corporate recruiting for Amazon, Microsoft, Uber, VMware and start-ups (series C & series E) where I advised first time engineering managers up to senior executives on making great hiring decisions.

My domain experience spans across: healthcare, gaming , search & discovery, AR/VR, entertainment, e-commerce and generative AI.  I’ve recruited and hired software engineers, testers, game designers, producers, artists, data scientists, product managers, sales, marketing and executives. 

 

I am constantly seeking ways to innovate how companies recruit to include: piloting an experimental, unbiased, blind interviewing process using the interviewing.io platform to  leading a three-person hackathon team (both these events occurred at Microsoft) and submitting and being granted a  U.S. Patent (see below) for a resume analysis tool.
